Building Effective Teams – Level 2

Delivered by Diana Ritchie as a full day training

Prior to the training each team member and the team Manager will complete a 25-frame evaluator in an online test that takes approximately 20-30 minutes. The test can be completed in 34 languages, so they can choose their mother tongue to complete the test, as such they will receive their profile in two languages. We will work with an English language profile for the purpose of the training.

The output is a 20+ pages profile, which helps recipients gain detailed understanding of their relationships in both their personal and professional environments. This profile is mapped on one map for the benefit of understanding where each member of the team sits on the map and the contribution they make and the potential challenges the team may have.

See the training description for “Personal Effectiveness” for more details on the personal profile test.

Details

Understanding the personality and professional contribution of each member of the team is vital knowledge for a Manager who is seeking to build an effective team. Team effectiveness both in terms of who is presently part of the team and what talent may be missing is dependent upon the desired outcome and challenges. Good teamwork is about relationships, valuing each team member’s contribution to the outcome and learning how to effectively communicate with each member to get the best from him or her.

Using the individual Insights Discovery profiles of each team member, each Team Manager will understand how each individual’s colour energy preferences sit within the team as a whole – team mapping. The Manager will understand the collective distribution of the type of each member and assess where the team is likely to have its strengths and challenges. Managers will understand where relationship challenges may occur in the team, for example between ‘opposite types’. The Manager will learn how to debrief his/her team.
